mobile fones for free???

elo!
have you heard about an email (a chain email actually) that's been distributing sony ericsson mobile fones for free when you sent the message to 8 or 20 friends?
Ericsson's T18 will be given to you if you send it to your 8 friends while
Ericsson's R320 Wap Phone when you send it to 20.
it was a good offer though, but i dont think it's true. it even claims that its their promotional strategy to compete with nokia.
it's oki to have messages like that as long as it wont do harm to us net users...
by the way, with the message is an email add where you'll reply to. it's to activate an account when you finally send the message.
juz want to make people everywhere aware coz im a little worried about this email...
hope i'd been a little help to you folks as i relay this message to you. please do inform me that there is nothing to worry about that email coz my friends are starting to spread it...

sounds like a typical chain mail to me ... don't take it seriously - I am sure no phone company in their right minds will give out free phones that way

There's another one making the round to supposedly spread the word that the Applebee's restaurant exists etc. The ad copy tells you that people out here in rural areas have never heard about their restaurant chain and to send it on to others then "you get a $50 gift certificate confirmation". All that stuff is MULE FRITTERS!!!

if you send chain emails out, and 1 or more recipients is as fed up as i am and reports you to your isp, you might find emailing anything else to be a tad bit difficult. its called spam, and people are getting less tolerant of it by the day.
