monster truck madness 2 access violation

This has happened on all my other windows xp computers, but whenever i finish a race in monster truck madness 2, when on windows xp, when the game goes back to the winners circle, i get an access violation, that is "Unknown". if i click close, the game continues, but with out 3d acceleration and without sound. Does anyone have this problem too if they have this game, or know how i can fix it with a driver upgrade or something?
