modem help

I have a problem with the computer modem I think. the problem I am having is that when I am online and I get another call the connection to the internet would be lost and I would recieve the call, but now when I am getting a call the person calling tells me that it rings and rings and rings and I am not recieving the call. I use a hsp56 micromodem and my OS is windows xp can anyone help me I sure would appreciate it. All I want is my connection to lose its connection when another call comes in so I can recieve that call. "thank you"

theres a few possibilities. the most likely is that youre dialing into a v92 server with a v92 modem, and its set to ignore calls.
