Geforce Ti 500

I have recently attempted to add a DVR to my desktop system. I am unable to view copy protected DVD movies. PowerDVD software comes up with an error message instructing me to turn the TV out function of my GeForce Ti 500 off. I cannot figure out how to do this. Do I need to connect to a TV first inorder to turn it off? That doesn't seem right. Thanks
