I recently got a system with the following specs:

Intel Pentium 4 Processor 3.20GHz w/HT (800FSB)(512K cache)
2GB Dual Channel DDR400 SDRAM
320GB Serial ATA-150 (2x160GB) hard drives (7200RPM)
250gb ATA HDD
1.44MB 3.5” Floppy Drive (D)
48x24x48x/16x CDRW/DVD Combo Drive
4x DVD-R/RW, +R/RW Combo Drive
Radeon 9800XT 256mb
Sound Blaster Audigy Pro
Intel Integrated Gigabit Ethernet (10/100/1000) Network Connection
300w pwer supply 12V

With these specs would a larger Power supply be needed? If so which one would be best

oh yes, that power supply wont do at all.

tomshardware did a good testing of many of them about a year ago, youll just need to upgrade the size, but the design will be the same. pick any of the ones they recommend.

if you dont want to bother, i would suggest an Antec SmartPower or TruePower around 500W.

and with that setup, get a large UPS as well, thats too expensive to risk power fluctuations.
