Got a question I hope someone can help me with. Whenever I make a graphic with Photoshop that is not some kind of rectangle, how can I save that sucker without a white background showing up? I know that there has to be someway to save it with a transparent background so that just the image shows. Tried adobe photoshop help, but kinda got lost. Thanks for any help!

im using photoshop 6 but i think its still the same...on ur tools bar look for the eraser button then right click on it(i use the tool bar coz i dont know the shortcut yet), you may choose between the background eraser tool and the magic eraser tool; both makes the background transparent....the only difference is that when u use background eraser tool - you erase the background manually in magic eraser tool - one click erases the whole background.

Try switching to ImageReady mode, it handles transparent backgrounds better. And make sure you save it as either a GIF or PNG ... JPGs can't have transparent backgrounds

Thanks everyone. I'll let you know how it works out!

Hey! It works! Thanks Woogy and Laggy. By the way, Woogy, it is the same in Photoshop 7 and I tried it with a jpg after reading your last post. Laggy's right, it showed up with the white background but the gif had the transparent background. Thanks again, you guys were great!
