Video Conference problem

I am having a problem when i am on a video conference the person on the other end can not hear me or see me. But, I can hear and see them. I have check with the web cam company and the web cam is working and installed properley. I have contacted AOL and they can not help. So, I hope you can help me. I use MSN Messenger for a video conference and i have AOL 9.0 For internet. I have Windows XP. Also, i have roadrunner for highspeed conncection that comes through AOL. Please let me know if you are able to help me.
