Samsung ML1210 Printer Application Error Message

This grandpa is a novice, please dumb-down answers, also thanks for providing this forum.

Just installed XP on home desktop which has Samsung ML1210 printer. Unable to print from desktop to Samsung with Microsoft word since XP install. Can print from Notepad, however. Can print from Microsoft word and other programs to two other laser printers in house, LexMark and HP.

Have downloaded and installed latest Samsung printer drivers, did not solve the problem. BUT, when installation of driver was completed on desktop, the following error message appeared:

(lKernel.exe Application error X The instruction at "0x771c732a" referenced memory at "0x00163ac8". The memory could not be "read" Click on OK to terminate this program.)

Tried reinstalling Samsung printer driver and the same message appeared.

Can anyone help? Thanks again! Papaken
