Please help ..... my pc is freezing up constantly.. sometimes when i reboot or shutdown completely i can't get on at all.. my pc won't go past the windows sign.. i tried to defrag but it doesn't go past 0%.. i used the scandisc and it said that it has to keep starting over because my windows and resourses ..( can't exactly remember what it said).. but i went into programs/run/startup and stopped many programs from running.. now i only have my AVG, version tracker pro, and yahoo icons and nothing else running.. still, i will get the sign pop up saying" dangerously low in resourses" then i freeze up and have to go to ctrl+alt+delete to end task then it reboots...i went to pcpitstop and they said everything was good ..no cross files but needed to defrag very badly!! but i can't get it to defrag..what should i do?? any info would be of great help ..thanx..(also have adaware and have gotten rid of spware everyday.. plus no viruses scan every day for that..)

you need to be able to run scandisk. turn off the avg, yahoo, and everything else you dont need. the only programs you need are windows, not anyone else's.
