Logging on

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Posted by: Wayne Drescher

When I log on my system shows a WJVIEWERROR message. If this is canceled, it goes to a Windows installer and a Microsft Money 2002 installer combination. It will sometimes want to load Golf Courses. I tried to remove Microsoft money but the system wouldn't do it. System restore does not help; I have myself a HAL.
Any help would be a Godsend. Thank You

It sounds like you have some sort of registry bug. This at least would explain why you cant uninstall Money. What you should do is take your windows XP intallation disk, and boot to that. Let the it load the main screen, and then sellect install windows. After it finds your previous installation, press the designated key to start a repair operation. This shoould fix the problems. If not, a reformat might be in order.

hi there,

try starting up your pc in safemode, then go to the registry:
start->run / regedit

now goto;
hkey_localmachine->software->microsoft->windows->currentversion ( here check the folder run and runonce for a path that ends with something that looks like your error WJVIEWERROR )
if you find it, remove it and you're on your way again.
