battlefield 1942 problem

Hi guys, I need help.
Recently when I play battlefield 1942 or the DC mod, its frezeed on me in game, so time long after I started, sometime almost immeidately. In a few case it freezed at multi player manual page.
The computer completely freezed, I cannot reboot unless I press the reset button on the case. Keyboard don't respond at all. I have updated all drivers on MB and Video card.
Hers is my config,
AMD 1.4 Mhz
MSI MB,w/ VIA chip set.
768Meg PC133 ram
at least 8 gig hd space left.
Gforce 3 Ti200 - 128 meg

Reinstall BF and see if that makes any change.
