photoshop 7

I am using photoshop 7 and having to wait extremely long for saves to complete- file size approx 60MB. This is on an AMD XP2800, 1G RAM. Only saving seems to be slow. Watching the system process monitor during the save shows 98% of activity on system processes and an occasional 2-3% on Photoshop processes. Any thoughts on this?

uh, I wouldn't be surprised if 60MB files are lagging.

Is the file you are saving, your system swapspace, your photoshop scratch disk, and photoshop itself all on the same physical disk?

files over 20megs can be a little combersome. i would recomend that if u have an additional physical harddrive u through it into the system and then open Photoshop click edit goto preferences and in the plug ins & scratch disks and move you skratch disk to the other disk
