(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

i recently got a Radeon 9600 card, and installed it correctly, but when i pop in the cd, it says it cannot find the driver files, when i do the auto install. So i downloaded the latest drivers from ATI.com now when i install it, about after the driver installs, but before the ati window closes a Severe Window Pops up and says something about Video Service error or something. i cannot remember, but i will get the exact error message later, but for now, i want to know if anyone knows how to get around this? ive tried removing the drivers, then reinstalling them, but the same error pops up. please help! I am running WinXp.

Try running Windows Update, I know that it finds ATI hardware and has some drivers....

Found this thread: http://forums.devhardware.com/showt...threadid=15797& but basically it came down to a formatting to solve the problem. ATI's site is basically useless for tech support help.

Also found this, might work but I dunno:
