Starcraft Load Problems

I play Starcraft frequently. Within the past months the load time for my CD has gotten slower on both my computers. Now it takes a full 10 minutes to start up the program. I have tried using a friend's CD, reinstalling starcraft, scan and defrag, and the problem even lasted through a format. I have also tried getting a rip of mmy CD and my friend's and running them with Daemon tools as well as buring copies otherwise. Nothing seems to work. It isn't my OS either. (Win98SE) I know this because I have used to different OSs (Win 98SE and Win XP) Any advice at all is greatly appreciated.

Is Starcraft the only game that has a slower loading time on your PC now? You could also try and update your drivers for your CD rom. You can get them from your manufacturer's website, more than likely. If all else fails, you could try reinstalling your CD drive, but I don't know if that would solve your problem. Hope that helps.
