Cube; how to install and run

Hi folks,
I downloaded Cube, an open source fps. Here is the hompage:
http://wouter.fov120.com/cube/
I am not sure how to install and run the game as it comes as a zip file and the instructions are not clear enough for my computer illiterate brain to understand. Here is the page that describes how to install and run the game:
http://wouter.fov120.com/cube/docs/config.html
I have a Presario 5005R, Windows ME (highly modified), 1.1ghz Athlon, 512MB Mushkin pc133 SDRAM, Vanta 16MB Nvidia TNT2 M64Pro graphics card and directX 8.1.
Do you think my system can run this game satisfactorily? It runs Quake 2 fine as well as Heavy Metal FAKK2, American McGee's Alice and other similarly demanding games. I run all these games at 1024X768 resolution.
Thanks for any advice.

Runs fine, finally figured out that installation was just extracting the contents of the zipped folder into a folder and making a shortcut to cube.bat.
I think it is a fun game, many difficulty settings. I played on default (3). Strange music, changes each time you load the level after getting killed.
One problem I had was when quitting the game, an msdos window appears and I close that and then nothing happens, had to use ctrl+alt+del twice to restart.
The graphics are reminiscent of Quake 2, but I run Quake 2 at 1024X768, this runs at 800X600 by default, haven't figured out how to adjust that yet. It might require editing a file?
I think the resolution setting might be why it gets stuck when quitting.

I found solutions to the resolution settings and the exit problem; both tied together as I suspected. Adding a space then -w1024 -h768 to the command line fixed both problems.
There is another I discovered however, quick saves become corrupt after one replay. I will see if I can find a solution for that...
Fun, but difficult game.
