I had this exact same problem and found the answer to it at the Microsoft FAQ section on their website. Please Tell me what operating system you are using and does this problem hold true for ALL links that you click on whether at the current website you're refering to or ALL others. What I am trying to figure out is if the problem is related to the website (such as you having a pop-up blocker enabled and the website requires it to be disabled in order to link to another site) or if the problem is with missing information in your registry such as my problem was. Don't worry will get you up and running smoothly in no time! Just need a little more info please. Hibb

Hi
thanx for replying, i know enough about computers to do what i need to but all the technical stuff kinda confuses me. um i can't open any links, and i'm using using windows xp and internet explorer 6.0.
Does that tell you what you need to know?
Thanx again

Hello phansson,
I need you to do the following Two things:
1:Repair Internet Explorer
1. Open up Control Panel.
2. Open Add/remove programs.
3. Select Microsoft Internet Explorer and Internet Tools.
4. Click Add/remove.
5. Click Repair.
6. Follow the steps provided by the Repair Wizard.
7. Click OK
If this does not fix your problem try this:
2:Please re-register the following files:
regsvr32 msscript.ocx
regsvr32 dispex.dll
regsvr32 vbscript.dll
regsvr32 scrrun.dll
1. Click "Start," and then click "Run."
2. Type regsvr32 msscript.ocx in the "Open" box and click "OK."
3. Repeat for dispex.dll,vbscript.dll, and scrrun.dll.
Next, make sure file (open) type .JS is properly associated:
1. In Control Panel, click "Folder Options," and then click "File Types."
2. Locate the .JS extension and click "Advanced."
3. Make sure the "Application to perform action" field contains:
C:\WINDOWS\System32\WScript.exe "%1" %* This is for a Windows XP computer.
I would do these all at once meaning that you should re-register each file(1 thru 4) ONE AT A TIME but concurrently instead of doing one and then trying to open up a link to see if your problem is fixed. Might as well "kill two birds with one stone" and do them ALL at once.
Let me know if this fixes your problem or not. If not I've got a few additional things you can try. Talk to ya later,Hibb
