Good afternoon,

Just in the last day I have not been able to send email through MS Outlook Express. I get the following error when trying to send a test message:

An unknown error has occurred. Subject 'test', Account: 'earthlink.net', Server: 'mail.earthlink.net', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Error Number: 0x800CCC0B

However, I receive email fine and can send email from my ISP webmail site. Any help is greatly appreciated.

MS XP Pro is my operating system.

Best regards,

Paul DeFayette

You need to reconfigure your outgoing SMTP settings to logon to the outgoing server. I cant explain to you how to do this off the top of my head, but you have to go into the account settings and change the outgoing settings for that account. I can remote connect to you later (if you are running windows messenger) and assist you if you can not get this accomplished.
