IE Problem

When I tried to log on to my ISP, I got an error message the "IE has encountered a problem and needs to close." he error signature lists AppName:iexplore.exe AppVer:6.02800.1106 ModName:winshow.dll ModVer 1.0.0.8 nad Offset:000096fe. I ran diagnostics and didn't come up with anything related to the modem or OS. Can anybody suggest a solution? Thanks

www.windowsupdate.com and upgrade your ie - otherwise, you can try uninstalling IE and reinstalling it. This will require your windows XP CD and can be done in the control panel\add remove programs\windows components.

Let me know if this works or now

run a scandisk and defrag, and reboot. if its still throwing fits, try a repair installation from your xp disk.
