Warcraft 3 TFT fatal error:

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Posted by: BlueNazareth

Once in a while...well, just about every game I play on Battle.net is interrupted by this message:

FATAL ERROR:

Proram c:\program files\warcraft iii\war3.exe
Exception: 0xc0000005 (access_violation] at 001b:6f640e0f

The instruction at '0x6f640e0f' referenced memory at '0x55a664e0'.
The memory could not be 'read'.

I have reinstalled twice, and nothing's changed. I don't have problems with any other programs.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm talking full fledged sexual favors, here.

Well, look at that...someone else has made a thread on this. Let me try what's in there, first.

Hey mate give this fix a go working so far for me

1. Click Start
2. Click Run
3. Type dxdiag and press the enter key
4. Click on the Sound tab
5. Move the hardware sound acceleration level slider bar to the far right and then one notch to the left so it reads standard acceleration

then go to this link http://www.blizzard.com/support/?id=awr0512p10 and do the war3.reg download and install as instructed

Uninstall DivX codecs and Nemo codecs if you have them

restart and give it a whirl.

P4 2.66 1024mb 333Ram; Leadtek Ti4200; gigabyte 8sq800 MB

good luck

Hi, i had that same error message and tried every thing on the planet downloading everything i could. But the thging is, my problem was not in the software. I checked my RAM and they were in the #2 and 3 slots (I have 3 ram slots) and having this, it made the critical error. When i switched my RAM around it immediately started working fine. Maybe this can help some of you who are getting this error
