Recording to Sony NET MD NZ-707 using OpenMG

hi guys.... need some help here.
the songs that i record to my MD comes out cracked (some of the songs get cut and distorted) when i transfer them from my PC using OpenMG Jukebox the software that came bundled with the MD Player.
when i listen to the songs using the OpenMG in the PC - they're ok. it's only when i use the MD Player to play the songs then do i get problems.
i was thinking it could be a software/application problem since the player plays other recorded songs with no hitch at all...
any advice would be appreciated.
