I dont know if any of you could help me with this but, does anyone know any companies that host windows shells or are on windows platforms i realize its not as common as linux but my friend used to have one so I know their out there(probably expensive) =].

Can you ask this question again, a little more clearly?

Are you reffering to web hosting that is based on a windows server?

www.mediatemple.com

www.2advanced.net

Both of these services are pricey... but if you want windows based yours going to pay for it.

I need a shell account like that allows background processes because what i'm going to be running on it is Win 32 based and I dont believe theres a BSD or Linux version

You want your own Win32 service to run on a vendor supplied host?

What would it be doing?

As far as I know, you aren't going to find anything like that unless you get yourself a dedicated host for your site. That means you'll have to lease or purchase the server and pay for rack space and connections.

Is this what you want?

They dont sell Win32 shells anymore? but yes I was thinking of doing it that way but thats rather expensive =[.

I wouldn't say they don't have Win32 shells anymore. But, since you're not saying what you want to run, I'd take that as a negative.
