wont read the disk

I need help. I installed a patch that was available on blizzard.net and now my warcraft II won't play. It says: Warcraft II battlenet edition is unable to read a required file. then it says that the disk might not be in the drive and that i should make sure it is, which it is, can anybody please help. i tried finding the patch so that i could delete it but i couldnt. ive reinstalled wcII about 5 times now, please help anybody
