I keep getting this: d2data.mpq Error 0x00000017: Data Error at a certain part in installation. ANy ideas?

Is your disc dirty or damaged at all?
Can you try installing the game on another computer or with a different disc?
EDIT:
If installing the game on another computer doesn't work and using a different disc works, then it would appear that the problem is with your disc.

Also, if you didn't already, try just re-installing... never know if it'll work the second time or not
