uninstalling grub

hey every1!! im kinda new at this kinda stuff, so heres my dilemma. I first installed XP, and recently installed RedHat Linux on another partition. I didnt like RedHat Linux, so i just wiped the partition, and merged the free space with my XP partition, my computer didnt seem to like this, and restarted, well, it seems that in deleting the partition, i didnt delete grub, the boot program, but i did delete all of the information that i would need to select XP to startup. So pretty much, ive tried booting from the xp cds, and from my boot floppies, nothing so far is working, and I am presently stuck on a black screen with the grub command line open, and nothing is seeming to work. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.

Your new computer buddy,
Tweedledeemoney

hey guys, thankx for the help, i didnt really want to lose all of my information, so i didnt format or nething :-P the boot redo thing worked, if by worked you mean I stopped going to the grub screen :-P. So after doing the boot thingy, i put in my windows installation disk, and reinstalled windows, w/o formating the harddrive, i only replaced the /windows folder. if neone else has a problem with this, and chooses this method, make a different username at first, or else everything saved on your desktop, my documents, my music, etc. will be deleted, due to the fact that you are creating empty folders with the same name as your previous folders, thankx to u people that replied in my time of need, and peace to all of my computer homies :-P
