Weird lag quake3

Hi all! I have a little problem with quake 3 arena, punctually with the mod Rocket Arena 3. When someone connects or reconnects to a server, or when I change to shaft weapon or when someone changes his nickname I have 2 seconds lag (the game freezes) and the sound stays in a ringlet. I reinstalled windows XP Professional and then it was fine. But after 1 week it started to do the same. I tried reinstalling quake3, rocket arena 3, Grafic card drivers, but nothing. My computer is a laptop Samsung X10 Pentium M 1300 Centrino with a GeForce 4 420 Go 32M. If anyone knows how to mend this problem please tell me! Thank you!
