RTCW And Windows XP PRO Freeze

Hello i have installed RTCW of this system in the past and had no problem and i have not installed any new hardware, i have a ATI Radeon 9700 PRO and a SoundBlaster Audigy 2 Plat. When i put the RTCW Disk in the drive it opens the auto run and i click on "Install" and it just quits reasponding completly i would like to get this fixed as this is my favorite game and i cant seem to play. and the disk has been in its case all of its life and there is not one scratch on the disk.
