and I can tell you, having relatives like mine sure sucks.
Out of the 20 or so things they bribed me with to get me to even go to NY, 3 of them I got to do, and in a bastardized way.
About the best night was when there were 7 or 8 people all wanting to play tekken tag, and here I was wasting them left and right with yoshimitsu, bryan, bruce, devil, kunimitsu, and ending my 37 win streak with a dazzling display of 7 perfects in a row with wang.
Other then that, the entire trip sucked.
Plan to visit swilo? Bastardized by paranoid relatives.
Plan to see Final Fantasy in all it's glory? Bastardized by taking me to the worst theatre in the place (no surround sound, small screen, christ only 8 people showed up).
Plan to go to an Import Record store in NYC and hunt for some Castlevainia cd's? Bastardized by the idiotic logic they somehow seem to spew in every direction. Apparantly, if I didn't want to go on friday, I couldn't go on sunday, even though it would be less crowded on sunday, neglecting the fact that we would be going on friday and sunday if I went both times.
About the only good thing that came out of it was I picked up symphony of the night, d2x for 25$ (that's with tax) and hail to the king and half-life blue shift for a total of 65$ (including tax).
I also picked up some CD's, most of the songs on them I had
mp3'd already, but I felt like wasting money.
I got agogo, xtort, and symbols by KMFDM, 13 above the night by thrill kill kult, and an education in rebellion by Union underground.
Had planned to go back and get Niave by KMFDM and a CD I forgot the name of already by thrill kill kult, and was also going to look for the Pitbull Daycare CD and one of the Psykosonik mixes.
So no, the entire trip wasn't worth it.
I come home, out of food, out of caffeine, and all of my clothing has their god forsaken dog's hair all over it.
that shit spreads like a virus, multiplying itself and gluing to any possible surface.
I think I'll run down to the store and buy some caffeine, install a game, and recover from this disaster.

Welcome back Bish ... sorry about your trip ... will you get that PS2 promised to you?

WB Bishop. Good to have you back.

No no no you see I got the ps2 before I even went to church.
You think I'm foolish enough to let a deal like that happen without having it purchased in advance?

Don't feel bad about seeing FF movie cheapy. When I went they had like a 10 foot screen, mono sound coming out from behind the smoke detector in the ceiling, a room that fitted about 30 people max, and the only people to show up were the 5 people we got together to go. Best part was I climbed up on top of the bathroom ceiling (the bathroom was the back wall of the theatre and it's ceiling [over which the projector displayed] could be gotten on top of by simply jumping and pulling yourself up) and I stood in front of the projector making shadow puppets for 5 minutes, till they realized the movie was over and I had to run. Oh and we went off road in a hyundai accent to get my friend home on time. But man that movie trip was ghetto, and I hope I never have a trip as bad as yours.
