Hey,
I am building my first PC and I am having the same problem as Slowpoak....I just won't get Windows XP Pro installed because it keeps telling me that it can't detect a proper drive. I've read all the posts and have done exactly what many people have told me to do. I put in the Asus Cd and copied all the drivers on floppy. When I hit the F6 button in the beginning of the setup it asks me to put in the diskette in A:\...which is what I've done. But it just keeps telling me to put in the diskette with the proper drivers. I'm really going insane. I've tried all types of drivers for the sata but it just won't work. Can anybody please help me? Maybe I have done something wrong Bios??? I don't know. Maybe someone has expierienced the same.... .
Thanks!

check on your other computer that the floppy is readable. also that the new floppy drive is detected properly. try switching drives perhaps.

Hey Redwench,
thanks for your reply, but I've gotten a little impatient and therefore just exchanged my SATA Drive for a normal IDE Drive. And after reading a couple of times, that the SATA drive isn't all that fast, and at times even slower than IDE drives,...maybe it was the right decision... . Thanks anyway!
