Alienware Extracts 15% Penalty

Wait to buy 16" Area-51 Laptop. Let the bugs get worked out!
Just received new Area-51 16" laptop. Monitor working poorly, sound system bad, LAN performance horrible.
Turns out drivers are the fault, but Utilities CD doesn't include updated drivers. Tech. support and Cust. support horrible.
I want out of this mess, but will face a 15% PENALTY by paying for quality and not getting it. Can anyone afford to take a chance with a $4,000 computer?

you face a 15% penalty for "buyer's remorse" returns, which is standard. you do not get a penalty for returning defective merchandise, although you may have to try repairing it first, depending on the contract.

Spent five hours on-line downloading driver updates through a LAN system running itself on an inappropriate driver. How much is effort is enough to qualify for a full refund?

youd need to read your purchase contract. generally, you have to send /deliver it for repair/replacement at least once.
