My mouse cursor sometimes freezes in the drag and drop mood. ie) when i single click and drag and then stop while selecting a piece of text, the mouse thinks its still on drag mode. To stop it I easily just click again till its out of the mood. It happens only sometimes. BUt its a pain. I"m wondering if anyone knows how to get around this bug. I've tried two mice and they are all the same

What type of mouse? What os? What other hardware, i.e video, sound, motherboard, and such.

I'd run a spyware and virus scan frist. Grab the latest version of Ad-Aware and Spybot S&D from cnet.com downloads section, update them, then run them.

Then run an online virus scan from housecall.trendmicro.com.....Next make sure your computer is up-2-date by going to windows update. Open up internet explorer > tools menu > windows update > click yes is it ask you to install something > then click scan computer now > install everything it finds.

Next, post back with your hardware specs and OS and we will try to help you some more.

USB or wireless? I think that's going to be expected a little.

Of course, any mouse may do that depending on what applications you're running, how much memory you have and how fast your computer is.
