WINXP Reboots over and over

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Ok, having a weird problem. Last night my computer was working perfect. I was playing online games with no trouble...then I turned off my computer for the night.

This morning when I tried to reboot..i'll get to the WINXP desktop...then 10-30 seconds later it reboots..and it does this over and over again.
Norton can't find anything wrong and neither can Trend Micro virus scanner.

I CAN load in safe made with the internet option.

HELP! =/

Do you see a blue screen for a few seconds before your computer reboots?

Nope, it just goes black.

Great...I just tried to use the WINXP disc to do a repair...but I CAN'T..because it wants an Administrator password...i'm assuming it will ask for this if I reformat and reinstall to huh???
I don't have the password..is there a way to get it? :/

I checked for viruses...no viruses found.

If you have a spare hd, copy all your games and important files over to it, then reformat the system drive. After you get XP running properly again, copy your old files back over (saves and such, most games you will have to re-install, but can keep your saves)

This is, of course, assuming you have a spare hd in either another computer, or the one that died.
