Wireless Routers - Suggestion/Help

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Can you connect any amount of computers to a wireless router via the wireless cards?

I also want to get a very cheap Wireless router here in Canada, which is suggested I want to hook up up to 5 computers 1 of which is a Mac, how much will the extra wireless cards cost etc, and which store?

Thanks in advance.

The wireless system I have set up (Wireless acess point serving 2 wireless cards on a wired network) serves up to 48 computers. I would imagine that a wireless router would be about the same.

Wireless cards vary in price: the faster, the more they cost. Generally, if you buy retail, a good wireless card (PCI and PCMCIA) will cost you around $80. I'd reccomend buying them at NewEgg.com, they have some great prices, and they ship super-quick.

All of the below products are Linksys, my favorite brand. You might be able to find something cheaper, but IMO Linksys is the most reliable.
PCI Wireless-G
PCMCIA Wireless-G
Wireless-G access point
Wireless-G Broadband Router

Well they also do sell USB wireless adapters which work extremly well. I have used both linksys and belikin products and I recommen either, The usb addapters would save you alot of hassle with the hook up instead of having to open up each desktop pc and acctualy install a card.
