Cd-Rw drive

I have an Phillips internal Cd-Rw drive, it recently stopped functioning it doesnt open unless I go to windows explorer and right click eject. After I put a cd in and manually close the tray it still doesnt respond, I ve downloaded new drivers but it still wont function. Can anyone help me with this I dont really want to spend a bunch to let someone fix it.
