Yahoo DSL & Linksys Router

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Posted by: deigo75

I Have sbc yahoo dsl and a linksys befsr41 router. I play madden 2004 a lot. I have tried opening ports running dmz host. And nothing works. EA sports says that these ports need to be open.

TCP Ports 80, 1024 - 65535 (outgoing only)
UDP Ports 1795 - 1797

When I open thses ports in the private filtered range. I can no longer get access to the internet.

Please let me know if there is something that I can do to host games or at least use their messenger.

Thanks,

Deigo75

Open up the router settings and go to advanced, and then the "Forwarding" tab. Enter the IP range and type there. Then where it says "IP address" put the IP of the PC that your forwarding the ports for. If you dont know it, go to start->run and type command. Then at teh dos prompt type ipconfig. You should see an ipadress in there, put the last digits of it in on the router. Then hit apply. It should work then.
