ITunes Problem

Hopefully, these is legal here, and it should be since it's purchasing. I've been purchasing songs from the Apple ITunes music store, but I have a burning problem. They are AAC protected files, which cannot be read by Nero, so I am forced to put them on a CD through the ITunes program, but when I burn the disc, everytime it's finished, the songs skip or make little static popping noises, or if they don't do that, all of my CD players and CD roms refuse to play the last 2-3 songs on the CD. I thought it might be my CD burner, but I tried a mix CD from Nero just for the hell of it, and it came out just fine.

I've tried slowing the ITunes burn speed all the way down to 1x, hoping that maybe that would even help, but it doesn't. I really don't want to be forced to sit at the computer to listen to the music I purchased. Anybody have any ideas? Could my discs be incompatible with ITunes? Although I can't see it being that.
