Internet Explorer 6 Homepage drop down

In tools: Internet Options: General: homepage. When I key "www" a drop down of all my previously accessed web sites appears ina drop down. How do I get rid of those. I have tried clearing My History, clesring my autocomplete, and have ran a program to supposedly erase my tracks. what do I need to do?

Delete your cookies and temporary internet files and then clear your history again. It wouldn't hurt to run an adware/spyware scan also.
