Hello,
Just wondering if anybody has encountered a problem where their "restart" stops working. If I choose RESTART when shutting down, my machine just shuts down. If I type shutdown -r at thte command line, the same thing happens.
I'm running XP professional dual boot with Linux on a Micron Pentium 4. Linux restarts fine, so it's not hardware. I can't pinpoint when it started, as I usually just shutdown windows, not RESTART.

windows update, scandisk, and defrag. if that doesnt work, you can ignore it or go to a repair installation.
