Hard drive password

OK , here is the deal
I set a password on my hard drive, this was a while back.
Now i have completely forgot it . Is there anyway to crack it?
I have a

Ibm t30

There is no password on the bios and if i remove the HD i can get into the bios.

any help will be appreciated ?

If you have the hdd in, you can't access the bios?

If you only need to decode password on operation system you can find via gooling free password decoders, some mazaines also have them in their cover CDs.
