Black Lines through Objects in games

Black lines appear within objects in almost every DirectX game. I have tried getting new video and mobo drivers, but nothing seems to work.
My specs are:
Albatron KX400-8X
Athalon 2200+
512 megs 233mhz ram
Gainward FX5600XT
WD 80 gig

upgrade your directx, and get the second to last set of drivers. check that your power supply is 350W+ if its antec or forton type, or 400W+ if its a generic. monitor your voltages and increase the airflow to your video card.

I have the newest DirectX, I've tried the 4 latest drivers, my power supply is a 400W Enermax, replaced the Vcard, and I already have massive(5 fans) airflow.

current monitor? what refresh rate?

Could be the settings within the video card.

that resolution is a tad high. do you have the same problems at say 1024x768?

Are you sure that your monitor supports a res of 1600x1200? Most don't...I would take redwench's advice and go with 1024x768 for troubleshooting.
