This may sound like a stupid question but i was jus wonderin how to open the dell computer casing as i want to fit a new graphics card in it. It is about 3 months old and i dont know whether it requires a screwdriver or a torque and wot type it needs.

Umm.. couldn't you just look at the screws and determine what kind of screwdriver you need?

On some dell's (4400 series) that i know of there a button on top and one on bottom you press both together and push them together and the case pops open.

Omfg, I have THE WORST experience opening OEM computers. I LITERALLY had to use a hammer and 4 different screw drivers to open up my old HP Pavilion so I could take out the treasure [ Hard Drive with 40 gig of my stuff. ] It took me and my cousin an hour and a half.

GL with it man.

rofl. 4 screwdrivers and a hammer.......

dont need tools to open mine, but im wierd and buy server towers. no clue about dells cases, but in general, the front panel should pop off, certainly without tools. you can then see if you need a screwdriver or not. generally a standard phillips is used for almost all screws in a case. youll need it for the graphics card anyway.

Yeh cheers thats what normal computers are like coz wen i was wrkin at campus they jus used the standard screws and the philips screwdrivers to fit them together but this dell case requires s type of torque screwdriver that i just cant get that small of a size for.

Cheers anywayz
