IP address for battle.net

Does anybody know the IP address for battle.net?(is it needed to open port 6112 to play starcraft?)

Wrong forum, but anyway...

There are multiple IP addresses associated with each Battle.net gateway. No, you do not need to know those IP addresses in order to open port 6112 in any firewalls you're behind. If you are able to join/make games and you do not get an error message about port 6112 UDP when you connect to Battle.net, port 6112 UDP is open, as well as port 6112 TCP (if it was closed, you wouldn't be able to connect to Battle.net).

Your lag issue is being caused by a different problem, but unfortunately I don't know what's causing it. Most likely it's your DSL modem and/or a poor DSL connection.

I can help you set up your router or computer to gain access to battle.net if you have a firewall that is blocking your hosted games. Please do not reply here if you need my help, but rather use AIM to message FLUGAWEHRKANONE, or use ICQ to message 60227833.
