Credit for the link goes to Jeff from TG, who posted it in our IRC channel.

I sent this link to my friend shortly after discovering it yesterday, and the only thing we've been talking about on AIM since then was this game.

Yea, post how far you got and with what strat!

So far my friends and I have developed a strat that's supposed to help us through levels 10-12 (though only one of us have managed to defeat 10 and reach 12): silver hammer + wing.

For people who are starting out, here's a little bit of info:
Each monster and hammer has a power rating, which corresponds to how many hits they can take for what kind of damage, notated by the little pie chart. The red dudes that show up in the second stage have two life instead of just the one that the green guys have, and the flails on the ground that show up on the third stage have 3 life.
With regular aliens, you can defeat their extra life by bopping them extra times (like the hitting Red ones twice), but with the ones that "fight back", e.g. the flails, you'll need a hammer that has a high enough power rating on your hammer to actually destroy them.

Normal PikoPiko does 1 damage, Bronze has 3 pts damage (so a Bronze hammer is actually sufficient to kill the flails on the ground for hearts), Silver has 6, and Gold has all 9 (or 8 or something). The wing powerup gives your hammer extra speed (so you can hit stuff faster and more efficiently), while the heart container (for 150) gives you an extra heart to play with (though most of us have trouble filling up the hearts we already have ).
The best way to earn a lot of money is to try to go through levels fast. They're timed rather than having a point or alien-bopping quota, so that means if you go faster, you'll get more bops (and naturally, more money) per level.

Currently I can usually get the silver hammer by level 6 or 7, and then the wing at the following level. Then level 9 usually destroys me, and if it doesn't, level 10 finishes the job.

It's all about the shop timing so far...If you get a shop around lvl 6-8 and get the bronze hammer, you're pretty much set to get to lvl 10. I'm stuck at level 10 as well, it's just too much happening at once. I've found that just leaving the coins and health alone prolongs my game for a while, since they pop up slower.

I don't see what the point of silver hammer is. It may hit more, but at lvl 10 the bronze hammer can kill the same stuff. I can't even kill green /red guys swinging flails with the silver hammer, that just sucks.

You need the silver hammer to get the blue guys in one hit when you reach level 10... otherwise you get bombed to hell.

level 11! pwn
lvl 11 is the same as lvl 10, it sucks.

lvl 12 is the same as lvl 11...boo

Dude...get a life man.

You're preaching to the wrong crowd

lol, they prolly never expected someone to actually get that far, I only made it to level 10. Its odd how such a painfully simplistic game can be so addicting, that silver hammer upgrade was about as exciting as going from a pistol to a plasma rifle in Halo!
