norton antivirus 2003 and internet security problem

i dont know why but i have noticed that my antivirus and internet security suddenly disappeared from the taskbar(near time),those two usually appears when i start my pc.. another problem is that when i tried to open those 2 applications and try to turn them on.. nothing happened,they wont turn on.. anyone please help me..

run an online virus scan, such as the one available at http://housecall.trendmicro.com
assuming nothing shows up, a scandisk, defrag, and reboot might fix it. next thing to try is a registry cleaner.
