What game can't you host with?
Posted by: Klobo
lol, forgot to type. I have seen that you have helped alot of peoples. ^^ I cant host on warcraft 3.
Posted by: Klobo
I could host before, but then we got a new modem from the same ppls, and now i cant host

Is your new modem functioning as a router? If it is, you'll need to go into its settings and forward port 6112 TCP to your computer.
Do you remember how you configured the old modem for hosting?
Posted by: Klobo
I didnt configured my old modem, my mom (who dont know a shit bout computers almost) did everything. But i could host a game without needing to do anything.

Oops... I misread your third post and I thought it implied that you got the same modem from your ISP.
Anyway, if nothing else on your end has changed, I'm willing to bet that your new modem is functioning as a router. What kind of modem did you get? I'll download its manual and look up how to configure it for hosting.

How do i check which modem it is?
Posted by: Klobo
All that is wrote at it is: Thomson speedthouch 510i

and some numbers

Okay... try this:
a. Open up a web browser window and type 10.0.0.138 in the address bar. The address bar is the place that you type something like www.google.com
b. If the modem's password has been set, you'll need to contact whoever set it to find out what it is.
c. Once you're at your modem/router's main webpage, click the plus sign next to Advanced on the left and then click the NAPT link.
d. Make sure that you're under the NAPT Entries tab, then click the New link at the bottom. Fill in the following information:
Inside address: your computer's current internal IP address
To find out what this is, follow these steps:
- Click Start, click Run, type command (Windows 98 and Me) or cmd (Windows 2000 and XP) in the box and click OK
- When the command prompt (black box) comes up, type ipconfig and hit Enter
- Look at what it says next to "IP address" - if your modem is functioning as a router, it should start with 10.0.0
Inside port: 6112
Outside address: unspecified (I assume this means you leave it blank)
Outside port: 6112
Protocol: TCP
Click Apply to save your settings, then try hosting again. Before you host, make sure that Warcraft III is using port 6112 in its Game Options.

What am i gonna write on inside port and outside port?
Posted by: NegotiatorSmith
Umm... I just told you in my last post what to put for those things.
Posted by: Klobo
oh, srry
Posted by: Klobo
It just say ERROR: Missing address or port parameters !!
when i typed in inside and outside ports. is it anything else i have to do?
Posted by: Klobo
I think i hve to write something at inside ip, but what?
Posted by: NegotiatorSmith
Good grief!
It's giving you that message because you didn't fill out the inside and/or outside address fields, and in my post telling you what to do, I gave you specific instructions on how to find out what to put in the inside IP address field.
Please read my posts more carefully next time.

does current internal IP address means the ip that shows on www.myip.com?
Posted by: Klobo
oh, i read it in your mail srry, lol i am weird
Posted by: NegotiatorSmith
The IP addess that that website gives you is the one that your ISP has assigned you, and that's not the one you want - you want the one that your modem/router has assigned you.
EDIT:
What a lovely new title I have... I think it's time to change it.

We are about 5 friends in the same class which plays warcraft 3, and my other friends cant host ether, so i wonder if you can help him? On the back of his modem it is wrote cayman 3300 series.

I take it that the instructions I gave you for hosting worked?
If you have a friend that needs hosting help, I need to know these things before I help him or her:
- What kind of Internet connection they have
- If they share the connection, how do they share it?
- If they're behind a router, what kind of router is it?
- If they're on DSL, what kind of DSL modem do they have? Is the modem acting as a router?
- If they're behind a computer running Internet connection-sharing software, what software are they using and what operating system is the "host" computer running?
- What operating system is the friend using
- If they have a software firewall installed, what is its name
