Windows Stop Error,pls Help

Hi Folks,
I have recently built a brand new athlon system,I have tried to install xp several times but keep on encountering the same stop error as my cd is about to initialise after loading the 6 boot floppy,I am using floppy as it is corporate edition I am using,I have since successfully installed 2k on the machine without such problems,could it be the disk I am using??I think not as this error does not sseem consistent with such a problem and points to a hardware error which i clearly do not have if 2k installed fine,any help would be appreciated on this error which I have listed below and if there is a programmer out there that can disipher this or even a tech who has had a similar problem your help would be much appreciated.Ok

Have you checked via MS knowledge database it quite good one.
Make sure that your PC spec agrees with the minimum requirements of MS XP, even some P4 need extra patches to run XP corretly.
I installed MS XP on P2 Compaq Laptop but had to update several files.

I dont have any scuzzy drives allthough there is a controller on my nf7 v2, is a driver needed when no device is present??, if so i wasn,t aware,and regarding the ms knowledge base,it is fat to vague and generally points to hardware errors as most software companys do,anyone else got any ideas,any imput is appreciated.

make sure your drives are set appropriately to master/slave if they are on the same cable, or cs if they are on different ones.
your xp disk may be damaged as well.
