This is for PSP. Theres only 4 screenshots. Thats a lot better than I thought that system could do though.

I saw some of the Mario DS screens as well, they look really good too. Im glad to see portables are moving on from the 80's finnaly.

That's some insane graphics. I didn't know that PSP was supposed to be so visually pleasing.

Posted by: armystud0911

That's gotta be some of the sexiest grapics I've seen for a PS2!

Posted by: FadedMaster

It's PSP, Playstation Portable.

Posted by: Bunmiadefisayo

When exactly is it supposed to come out and how much is it going to cost? The PSP i mean.

Posted by: FadedMaster

I searched around a little bit but didn't find much. I don't know when it'll be released, but I'll guess in the near future. It was on display at E3.

Posted by: SKYHN

Both the DS and PSP are supposed to be out this year. Theres no price on either one of them, regardless of what EGM has said. TGS is when pricing is going to be announced.

Posted by: Bunmiadefisayo

SKYHN there was a thread (you?) posted a while back that had a link that said that the price of the PSP would probably be less than $50. I have searched but i cannot find it anywhere. I think the people who posted on it were just speculating though.

What is a DS?

Posted by: SKYHN

The price I posted was $69.99 and that was what supposedly 'leaked' from sony. Turned out to be BS.

EBGames has a pre-order up for the DS now. It shows as November 29th the ship date and a pricetag of $199.99.

"chokes" $200???

I knew there was a conspiracy against me, these game companies dont want me buying their products

Posted by: SKYHN

Thats not the official price, thats just what retailers are taking pre-orders of. It could be more, it could be less. $199 sounds about right though. IMO though handhelds should be half the price of a NEW console. A new console would be $299, so a new handheld should start at $149.

You could wait for like 2 years after it's release to drop like half it's price. I remember buying the Xbox the first Xmas it was out for $300 and another $50 for Halo. What is it now? $150 with a free game usually.

So this is some card game?

Is WHAT a card game?

Taken from Gamespot
Quote:

The largest revelation to come out of this demo is that Metal Gear Acid isn't an action adventure game like its predecessors. Instead, the game is a turn-based tactical strategy game, with what appears to be some card-battle-like mechanics mixed in. You'll move Snake a certain number of squares around a map as you try to sneak up behind guards and take them out.

The cards are, essentially, your weapons. We saw cards for most of the standard Metal Gear weapons, including silenced rifles, claymores, and the like. The turn-based game also gives you some other options, such as the ability to crouch out of sight, knock on walls, and so on. When your turn ends, the screen moves around to the enemy soldiers on the map, giving them each a turn to act. Actions like moving and putting certain weapons into play have a cost associated with them, limiting the number of actions you can take during one turn.

The PSP will probably cost $200-300 bucks. That being due to the proprietary dvd drive, 16:9 lcd, and the lion battery.

There is also another handheld you may or maynot be aware of called "Eve". This amazing device is being developed by Via and MoMa. Check it out here

I'll start a separate topic about this new device.

They didn't announce ZoE3

I don't give a damn about Konami or E3 or games or life anymore

Posted by: SKYHN

Basing your life around 1 game series isnt a good idea. A minimum of 5 keeps you from suicide.

The DS is the ugliest device ever created. Also, I heard at E3 that the price would be 150$.

Posted by: SwizzleStick

Yeah, I heard around 150-200
