Has anyone been keeping up w/ E3. The Unreal Engine looks really awesome. Here is a link to the new unreal 3 engine in action. It is supposed to be doom3 on steroids. They used it to demo the new nvidia 6800.

Nobody said anything when I posted it a month ago.

What do you think about it? I was blown away! Ofcourse the Halo 2 demonstration at E3 was killer. Blowing up the warthog, dual weapons, using the sword, playing as an elite, knocking people off vehicles, etc.

So far for the Unreal 3 engine they have only really shown the graphical capabilities of it. Half-Life 2 uses the Source engine(modified version of it) and its got very advanced physics. Unreal 3 should have some pretty good physics as well, they showed a short video of these creatures coming out of a sewer hole. Nothing much, but it was sort of a preview of the physics.

I like the Half-Life 2 engine better for now cuz of the physics. That will be real nice for multiplayer too. Like someone standing on a wood bridge and you shoot out the planks under them or the ropes holding the bridge up.

I remember seeing that on Nvidias 6800 launch night video.

Looks pretty cool to me, I am partial to HL 2 though, I just wish there was a way to veiw these graphic demo events in High def.
