What do you think about Sprint DSL?

I just sent in an order for sprint DSL. I'm curious about other people's experiences with Sprint's DSL. The speed I got is 512Kbs. What sort of service do you get if you do have this DSL, or DSL in general?

I realize that DSL is normally much slower than cable, but I also know its much better than dial up.

Let the posts flow

dsl is pretty much dsl. unless sprint also owns the lines, they just pretty much take your money and provide the server. the owner of the lines provides the day-to-day stuff.

I know a lot of guys that have 100-300K DSL, 512 is great.
yeah, compared to dial up- well nevermind there is no comparison.

I recently upgraded to 5.0 Mbps. It's kind of pricy in this area, probably due to the fact that Sprint is the only local service in this area, but it is fast. Most of the time I get download speeds of 4.5 to 4.85 Mbps. Uploads are generally around 600 to 610 K. I have a wireless router installed for my daughter's laptop and her download speeds usually run around 2.0 Mbps. If you can bear the price, the service is pretty good.

the guy above has 10 times the speed of your dsl, and your dsl is 10 times the speed of normal dialup... cable runs about 3.8 - 4.2 mb/s, slower than the guys above by about 20%

That being said, we don't have cable DSL here, we don't even have cable TV. Thank God for Dish Network and DirecTV. We take what we can get.
