windows explorer problem

when i try to open my f drive windows explorer says it has a problem an has to shut down, it only happerns on the f drive which is a hard drive, all the other drives are fine, win xp sp1 amd 2500 epox pr 8rda 512 ram

the only thing i did was update windows

assuming f is a physical hard drive, and not a logical partition, download the hard drive diagnostic program available for your model from the manufacturer's website. run all options and see if anything shows up.

Usually this happens to me, if i have thumbnail show on.
So if you have any pictures on that drive, folder; disable thubnail showing.
**Note, this happens only if you have lots of them. I have 1500 pictures+.........
