I just bought City of Heroes. I have a HP Pavilion ze5185 laptop. My computer meets all of the requirements for the game and I have all the updated drivers and newest version of DirectX. The game runs, but I can't see any of the characters. There are just skeletons of them. Some of the NPC's show up, but only a few. I can run around and do everything in the game, but the graphics are really messed up. Everything is real dark also. Even on the character creation screen I can't see the character as I create it, just a greenish shadow of the character but that is it. Any idea how to correct this problem?

Specs for your laptop just say "ATI Mobility 4x AGP 32mb". Which one is it exactly? You may need to update the drivers for it. But it might not be enough to run it.

It is a ATI Mobility M6. Everything is updated as far as I know. There aren't any current updates on the HP websites.

According to the COH min requirements:
The minimum video card requirement for COH is an NVIDIA GeForce 2 or ATI Radeon 8500 series video card
I dont think the M6 will run this properly. Its almost 3 years old. Maybe try turning all the details down to the minimum. Looks like the 32mb of video ram is the main problem, its just not enough. Turn off stuff like shadows, drop down the texture sharpness, particles, etc. Try them at half what they are now for starters, then go down further from there if needed(Turn both particles settings all the way down for sure).
